Ms. Sophia Sitati Named Acting Registrar of Political Parties

The Office of the Registrar of Political Parties (ORPP) announces the appointment of Ms. Sophia Sitati as Acting Registrar, effective 14th July 2025. Ms. Sitati, a seasoned legal expert seconded from the Office of the Attorney General, succeeds Ms. Ann Nderitu, CBS, who has been appointed Commissioner at the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC). Ms. Nderitu’s tenure saw significant reforms and capacity-building initiatives that strengthened Kenya’s political party landscape. Ms. Sitati is poised to continue advancing the ORPP’s mandate for democratic governance.
